What are exosomes?

Exosomes are tiny microscopic 'bubbles' that act as messenger vehicles between cells in the body. They are naturally present in living organisms, made and excreted by cells in order to effectively send messages and deliver essential bio-molecules such as peptides, growth factors & lipids to other cells. The exosome is similar to a capsule, protecting the bio-molecules inside to ensure stability and effective delivery.
